It's October and time to break out those costumes! Join us for First Friday ... a fun way to meet your neighbors! No RSVP is required but we ask everyone to BYOB and a dish to share. Last month, we were very "dessert heavy" (YUM!); therefore, we are trying something new! If your last name begins with A-R, please bring an appetizer or salad. If your last name begins with S-Z, please bring a dessert. Assignments will be rotated each month! Costumes encouraged!! A prize will be given for best costume!
Your October hosts, Chuck and Kimberly Adams
Please join the Genesee Circle of Friendship Bridge
Oct. 23rd at the Vista Clubhouse
for a free screening of the movie Ixcanul. The movie will start at 6:45 pm and there will be free popcorn and refreshments provided. One of the best-reviewed movies of 2016, Ixcanul was the first film Guatemala ever submitted for Best Foreign Film consideration at the Academy Awards. The movie portrays the daily lives of Mayans living on a coffee plantation at the base of an active volcano. This gorgeously photographed film is an immersive journey into its characters’ customs and beliefs, chronicling with unblinking realism the Mayan people and their traditions in Guatemala.
Everyone is welcome, but please be aware that the movie is subtitled.
Contact Joanne Ihrig at 526-1750 with any questions.

Twilight Zone premiers!
The Twilight Zone is an American television anthology series created by Rod Serling. The episodes are in various genres, including psychological horror, fantasy, science fiction, suspense, and psychological thriller, often concluding with a macabre or unexpected twist, and usually with a moral. A popular and critical success, it introduced many Americans to common science fiction and fantasy tropes. The original series, shot entirely in black and white, ran on CBS for five seasons from 1959 to 1964.
