Genesee Water & Sanitation District Advanced Water Treatment PlantGrand Opening Saturday, September 30, 1 PM to 4 PM!
The Genesee Water & Sanitation District (GW&SD) will be celebrating the completion of a five year project to replace the aging water treatment facility on our Water Complex Site at 2310 Bitterroot Lane. The advanced treatment plant has been designed to provide high quality finished water to all our customers for at least the next 30 years.
The celebration will include guided plant tours, finger foods, Prosecco, soft drinks and a bit of water education for interested customers. We hope you’ll take advantage of the opportunity to see the inner workings of the plant on a guided tour with a member of the management or staff. You can sign up for a guided tour of the facility at the GW&SD website (http://geneseewater.com) . Once there, click on the “Sign up for Tour at the Grand Opening of the Water Plant”, highlighted in blue at the center of the page. For a preview look at the facility, see the video at this link:
Even if you don’t wish to take a tour, you are encouraged to join the management, staff, and Board of Directors for other parts of the celebration.

Roy Lichtenstein's new art exhibition includes a big, bold diptych titled, quite appropriately, 'Whaam!' Zooming across canvas is the artist's reworking of a panel from a war comic book. At once shocking, amusing, and utterly modern, it will become one of pop art's emblematic works.
