We’ll start with various family-friendly group-led short hikes and an introduction to Genesee geocaching. New trail guides and nature guides will also be available for purchase. The highlight will be a presentation by the raptor rescue organization, HawkQuest. This one-hour program includes a bald or golden eagle, owl, falcon, and a free-flying hawk. We will learn about the different raptor species, their specially-adapted tools and their role in our ecosystems.
Hikes will begin at 9am and the HawkQuest program begins at 11am. After the presentation there will be hotdogs and sides for lunch provided by GEM.
