Save the Dates... 2018 Board and ARC Elections

2018 BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE (ARC) ELECTION
On November 6, residents will have the opportunity to vote for four Board members to serve a two-year term, as well as one new ARC member to serve a one-year term. Elections have consequences and this election is no different. With many major projects being implemented and in the planning stages for the community, the upcoming election takes on significant importance. 

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 | 2018 ELECTION INFORMATION FORUM
A new event this year is planned to introduce interested residents to the role of an ARC or Board member. Hear from current and past elected leaders about the required skills, time commitment and job responsibilities. Also included will be a discussion about the help and training available to be a successful ARC or Board member. Candidate packets will be available to those who are considering running in the November 6 election. The election process will be fully explained. 

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9 | CANDIDATE NIGHT
This event is the only time where residents can be nominated. Nominations can be made by another resident or residents can self nominate. Brief acceptance speeches and a short Q&A will also be on the agenda. 

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23 | CANDIDATE OPEN FORUM
Designed as a panel discussion, residents are invited to ask questions about anything related to Genesee. 

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6 | ELECTION DAY
Ballots will be mailed to residents on or about October 22 with all ballots due on Nov. 6. 

The 2018 election is being conducted by the Election Committee, which is a subcommittee of the Governance Committee. Members of the Election Committee include Scott Barker, Carin Knickel, Bob Vanourek, Ken Farber, Charles Eggleton, and Tom Harris.
