A Large ponderosa pine tree that had considerably more than half its total crown infected with the dwarf mistletoe parasite.  This tree was selected as a prune tree, however, it should have been removed.  The decision was made to prune infected branches with the anticipation that it will become a standing dead tree or snag which is important for wildlife habitat.  Many complaints have been received about this tree because of its manicured / palm tree look.  These are valid complaints and future snags will be created using different techniques.
