Three areas identified
(see project maps) have
been treated. Small diameter trees were removed and chipped during
Genesee's annual chipping week.
Meadow Restoration Timeline
February 2007
- The GEM committee selected meadows for 2007
management and the Board of Directors approved the meadow restoration
projects as part of the Open Space Managers Report.
March 2007
- Letters were sent to residents near selected
meadows on March 28th to inform them of the upcoming meadow restoration
activities.
April 2007
- Information posters will be placed in the Foundation clubhouses.
May 2007
- Trees selected for removal will be visibly flagged and a public
walkthrough will be scheduled.
- Public hike and presentation of the meadow management areas will
occur on Sunday May 6 2007 from 1 - 3 pm. Please meet along
Bitterroot Lane south of Montane Drive East if you are interested in
attending.
June 2007

July - August 2007

Follow up and review of this project
will occur, pictures and posters will be displayed at the July 4th celebration.
September 2007

2008 meadow restoration projects will be selected for 2008 budget
consideration.
October 2007
