Genesee hosts several families of red fox. You are most likely to see them at dawn a nd dusk, when they are actively hunting for small animals to eat. They will also eat pet food that has been left outside, and domestic cats roaming outdoors are at risk from foxes. Junk food can be unhealthy for them, and it is illegal to feed foxes in Colorado.
