Genesee is managed by an elected Board of Directors. Terms are two years in length and residents are encouraged to get involved and run for various offices and to participate in the committees. Elections are held annually in November on the first Tuesday after the first Monday.
The 2011 Board goals and objectives are:
- Stewardship of assets by effective oversight of open space, Foundation owned roadways, facilities, and cash assets.
- Support the efforts of all committees to enhance communications within the Genesee Foundation community and with external stakeholder groups.
- Promote and foster Foundation committee activities and efforts to enhance the sense of community among Genesee residents.
- Protect community residents and their assets through support for efforts that sustain and improve fire protection, patrol activity, road safety, and home values.
- Develop a vision that will provide the foundation for a strategic implementation plan for the community.
